Almost 100 Ma5da Racing MX5s will descend on the Snetterton 200 circuit on Saturday morning for the BRSCC East Anglian Centre meeting which will feature 13 races.

There is a great battle going on at the top of the Mk1 points table between 2009 Champion Tom Roche and Adam Gore. Adam closed the gap to just 1 point following his two wins at Oulton Park last month, but these two aren’t the only ones in contention as the chasing pack including Alan Henderson, Paul Sheard, Wayne Le-Montais & Sam Hill are hard on their heels.

The title fight in the MX5 Cup is as equally tight as the MK1s and features some of the same protagonists. Tom Roche, Adam Gore and veteran Paul Sheard all have worthy claims but it is last years’ Mk1 MX5 Champion Robert Boston who they are all trying to catch. Wheel to wheel action and with 23 plus cars on the grid it will be close and entertaining racing.

The MX5s will be joined at the Norfolk track by an amalgamation of championships and series from the BARC South Eastern Centre. Various classes of the Dunlop Motorsport News Championship, Quaife Intermarque League, Cannons Tin Tops and Tiger Racing will be divided into BARC SE Groups 1 & 2, with each having a 15 minute double header.

Pride of place amongst the BARC content goes to the Dunlop Motorsport News Saloon Car Championship, currently headed by Darren Bly’s Nissan which has won five of the first six races. Reigning champion Rod Birley is the other outright winner following a troubled start to his season.

In the Quaife Intermarque League West Country driver Keith White will be defending a record of six straight wins in his BMW Z4, so it will be a tremendous performance if anyone manages to beat him.

The Cannons Motor Spares Tin Tops have a re-scheduled race which replaces a Mallory Park round that was abandoned after a bad crash. Danny Cassar is on pole and will be out to complete a long awaited double having won the first race at Mallory back in May.
