With the BRSCC Mazda MX5 Championship going from strength to strength, the grids for the next rounds at Brands Hatch on 31st August/1st September will be bolstered by the addition of an invitation class for Mark 1 Mazda MX5 cars which do not comply with current BRSCC Mazda MX5 technical regulations.

With the grids all ready likely to be oversubscribed and the championship looking to run its popular A and B races, the organisers are going to give those competitors looking to join the championship a taste of what it is like to compete in the best one make championship in the UK.

So for those competitors who run their current Mark 1 Mazda cars on Kumho or unbranded Hankook tyres but otherwise comply with BRSCC Championship regulations, please contact the BRSCC offices on (01732) 780100 and book your place.

Qualifying and all races are for 20 minutes duration and are televised on Motors TV and are also available via the BRSCC Youtube channel. Subject to numbers of people entering the invitation class, trophies will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in class. Again competitors will have access to the hospitality area which serves tea/coffee, biscuits and cold drinks. All invited entries will run on the back of the “B” races.

For those competitors who own and compete in a Mazda MX150 they can, if they so wish, join the Arrowpak Euro Saloon & Sportscar Championship on the same weekend. They will be able to enjoy a 20-minute qualifying session and two 20-minute races on Sunday. Arrowpak Euro Saloon competitors have been allocated garages at this event and any Mazda MX150 entering will do so as well. Again please contact Liz at the BRSCC Race Admin team on (01732) 780100 or via liz@brscc.co.uk .
