EA CENTRE HELPS AIR AMBULANCE

CATEGORIES:

The BRSCC East Anglian Centre Rescue Unit was on display at the Bury St Edmunds Motorsport Show last Sunday, raising funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The third running of the Show took place on the Angel Hill and the proceeds from the day were again donated to the East Anglian Air Ambulance Charity, who also had a stall at the Show.

With no other outstanding commitment the rescue Unit crew were more than happy to exhibit the vehicle for such a worthy cause. A selection of Rescue and medical equipment were on display and the crew were pleased to answer any questions and hand out Centre marshal volunteering forms and the Club’s ‘How to Go Motor Racing’ DVDs to interested visitors.

Crew member John Marshall was ’persuaded‘ onto the stage to be interviewed about how and where you could become one of the marshalling team, so with luck the East Anglian Centre may gain a few new recruits at Snetterton.

Despite a few rain showers there was a pleasing turn-out with a large number of visitors looking round the exhibits, which ranged from Karts, Autograss, Hot Rods, Dragsters, to Single Seaters, Saloons and Sports Cars.

The Rescue Unit will be back on regular duty at Snetterton for the BRSCC 200 Raceday this coming Saturday, which features the Ma5a MX5 Championship, the Ma5da MX5 Cup and races from BARC South East.
