Hemel Hempstead’s Michael Epps enjoyed an outstanding meeting at Spa-Francorchamps last weekend, taking both Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup victories in Belgium in his Team HARD Golf.

In the first, on Friday, the 23-year-old former single-seater racer claimed a stylish maiden victory ahead of his Golf GTI-driving running mates Howard Fuller and Bobby Thompson.

Epps crossed the Belgian Grand Prix circuit’s finishing line 3.8 seconds clear of Fuller, Michael overcoming an early challenge from the SlideSports Scirocco of championship leader David Sutton.

Epps repeated his strong Friday form to secure his second win of the weekend, fighting through from sixth on the grid to take the lead of an exciting race with three laps in hand. His Team HARD Golf GTI crossed the line 1.7s ahead of its sister car, in the hands of Howard Fuller, with Lucas Orrock completing the podium for KPM.

Another plus for Tony Gilham’s team was the successful introduction of its new Passat CC racer, which BTCC driver Andy Wilmot drove to a pair of top-10 placings on its impressive debut in the championship.
