FREE FORMULA FORD FESTIVAL ENTRIES

The BRSCC has today announced an exciting initiative aimed at boosting the entry numbers and competitive edge of the Kent section of the 2013 Formula Ford Festival, which will take place at Brands Hatch on 26^th/27^thOctober.

Any competitor, who competes in seven of the eight Avon Tyres Northern Formula Ford 1600 Championship meetings, will automatically qualify for a free entry to the traditional Brands Hatch Festival. The entry will be for the Kent-engined competition, and is worth £310.

BRSCC Competitions Director, Drew Furlong, explained the thinking behind the initiative, “Our Northern Formula Ford Championship is the best supported Formula Ford championship in the UK and there are a lot of talented drivers who race in it. The free entry fee is a way of rewarding them for making the Northern Championship so strong and should make it a little easier on their budgets. We now hope to see more of them come south in October to take on the Irish and drivers from around the world, who make the pilgrimage to the Festival every year.”

The Avon Tyres Northern Formula Ford 1600cc Championship starts at Oulton Park on 13^thApril and finishes at the same circuit two weeks before the Festival. In total, the Championship will visit the Cheshire circuit five times, Anglesey twice and Donington Park once.
