FUNCUP ON THE NIGHT SHIFT

CATEGORIES:

The BRSCC season which started in March at Silverstone will finally come to an end when the chequered flag comes down tomorrow evening at Snetterton on the Funcup ‘Into the Night’ race.

During the eight month season the BRSCC and our six regional Centres will have run more than 40 race meetings at 11 different circuits. Meetings range from international events such as the FIA GT’s at Silverstone through to a ‘clubbie’ at Pembrey. The Club would like to thank all the competitors, officials and above all, the marshals who have contributed to the season.

This weekend’s meeting actually starts tonight with night qualifying which will allow all the drivers to get some valuable track time in dark, and what looks like will be wet conditions. Unusually for the Funcup tomorrow’s schedule allows for two races – a 45 minute sprint race before lunch followed by the six hour season finale. The endurance race starts at 12.20pm so it will be interesting to see how the drivers cope with the changing light before it goes completely dark.
