GRAND PRIX RACEWEAR RACE WEEKEND

CATEGORIES:

This weekend’s busy BRSCC South Eastern Centre race meeting at Brands Hatch is sponsored by Grand Prix Racewear and will be filmed to produce a series of programmes to be broadcast on Motors TV to showcase BRSCC racing at its very best.

The twenty one race schedule starts on Saturday with the first of three races over the two days for yet another full grid in the Drivers Republic Caterham Roadsport A Championship. Also racing from the impressive Caterham motorsport ‘ladder’ is the Metro Academy and the Roadsport B’s both of which are equally well supported.

There is plenty in the schedule to keep ‘tin-top’ fans entertained with double headers for the Alfashop Alfa Romeo Championship, the LMA Euro Saloon & Sports Car Championship and our guests from the Principality, the Welsh Sports & Saloon Car Championship.

Mini racing has always been well suited to Brands Hatch so a round each for both the Mighty & Super Mighty Mini championships are sure to keep the crowd entertained. With grid numbers in the twenties, the jostling for position at Paddock Hill Bend and Druids will certainly be spectacular.

Single-seaters are also well represented. On Saturday there is a twenty minute race for the Lewis-Evans Trophy for the 500 OA cars which were all the range when the BRSCC was first formed in the late 40’s as the Half-Litre Club.

Bringing us back up to the modern era, we have an impressive grid of Formula Jedis for a season defining double header. Finishing off the meeting late on Sunday afternoon are the Richard Egger Insurance backed Club Formula Ford Midlands South competitors. For the Formula Fordsters this will be their last chance for competitive action at Brands before they return for the Festival on 17/18th October.
