The BRSCC Northern Centre hosts their biggest meeting of the season at Cadwell Park this weekend, with 21 races scheduled over the two days.

Whenever the Ma5da Racing circus comes to town, they tend to dominate proceedings and this will certainly be the case at the Lincolnshire circuit with 90 Mazdas on show across the 11 races. Tom Roche and Adam Gore both scored two wins a piece last time out at Anglesey in the MX5 Championship so they will arrive in confident form.

In the MX5 Cup for MK3s, Chrissy Palmer is the man to beat. He took all three wins at Anglesey and left Luke Herbert, Jordan Stilp and Paul Sheard to fight over the remaining podium places. The same trio will be determined not to let the ex-Formula Ford Festival champion have it all his own way at Cadwell.

The Alfashop supported BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship brings a very impressive grid of 26 cars, of all shapes and sizes, to Cadwell. Leader Roger Evans is absent so Neil Smith has a great chance to overtake him in the points table. Neil will be racing in a 147 twinspark, a car that his partner Emma Karwacki drove to the championship title last season. Another driver to look out for is former Watford & AC Milan striker Luther Blissett, who will be starting just his third race in his 156.

Cadwell Park has always been a great circuit for the Formula Jedis and the cars are always spectacular to watch, especially over the ‘Mountain’ where some of them will have all four wheels off the ground! These racing cars are the fastest to have ever lapped this venue and have held the outright circuit record since 2007. Andrew Dunn comes into rounds 5 and 6 as championship leader after a double win last time out at Anglesey.

This weekend should prove to be an interesting one for the Dunlop Fiesta Championship where all three classes will run together in the double header. David Elsom (Si) took two class wins last time out at the Donington Superstars meeting. Aaron Trigwell & Jason Cooper shared the ST honours at Donington as did Ken Bateman & Nik Barton in the Zetec class.

The Fiesta Juniors will get another two races under their belts to add to their increasing experience. Charles Ladell has been the most impressive driver to date and will be going for his sixth consecutive win.

While their compatriots in the SMRC are over at Oulton Park, the drivers in the Scottish Fiesta Championship will be heading to Cadwell for a double header. Peter Cruickshank and Wayne MacCauley are tied at the top of the XR2 points table with two wins each. In the ST class, David Colville has made a successful switch from XR2s and leads the class from Scott Robertson & George Runcie.
