MICHAEL LINDSAY HONOURED AT ALFA DINNER

Michael Lindsay receives a cheque for £1,500 from (left to right) Neil Smith, Graham Heels & Gary Walker.

On Saturday night at Horwood House, near Milton Keynes, the BRSCC Alfashop Alfa Romeo Championship held their Dinner Dance & Prizegiving for the 2011 season.

There was a lot to celebrate on Saturday night! As well as Emma Karwacki’s superb Championship win, all of the other class winners were also presented with their awards as the Championship celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The evening was also significant as, after 30 years as Championship co-ordinator, the event marked the official handover of the role from Michael Lindsay to Graham Heels, who will be the co-ordinator for the 2012 season.

To thank Michael and Diana Lindsay for performing the role for 30 years, new co-ordinator Graham Heels and the rest of the Championship panel presented Michael & Diana with a cheque for £1,500 collected from donations made by drivers, preparers, sponsors and supporters of the Championship. The money will be spent on a well deserved holiday for Michael & Diana – a small reward for their 30 years of dedicated service to Alfa Romeo racing.

Whilst Michael is stepping down as co-ordinator he will still be involved in the Championship and will remain on the panel and will be helping out on race days.
