NEW LOOK CLUB FORMULA FORD

CATEGORIES:

The BRSCC has today confirmed plans for a new look for our Club Formula Ford Championships for the 2010 season.

For the new campaign a number of changes to current format will be implemented including a revision of the title. The Championship will be called the BRSCC Club Formula Ford Championship and will consist of three divisions; Northern, Southern & National.

Within the Northern and Southern divisions there will be concurrent mini championships for the Champion of Oulton, Star of Anglesey and Star of Mallory. The National Division will run as one class meaning there will be no separate Pre 90 Cup.

Having reviewed the grid numbers for 2009, the BRSCC has made the decision that there will not be separate grids in the Northern Division for Post 89 and Pre 90 cars. However, this decision will only be applicable for 2010, with a further review taking place regarding the format for 2011.

In an effort to help reduce costs, a limit of 4 sets of tyres per competitor for the season will be enforced, irrespective of whether a driver races in all or just one division.

As last year, Ian Smith will co-ordinate the National Division and Matt Hawkins the Northern Division. They will be joined by Paul Smith who takes on the role of co-ordinator for the Southern Division.

The BRSCC is aiming to release a provisional calendar for the Club Formula Ford Championships next week.
