News ENTRIES OPEN FOR ANGLESEY WINTER RACE DAY
As is now becoming something of a tradition at the end of the BRSCC's racing calender, our North Western centre has just one more day of racing left in it with a trip to the Welsh coast helping us wind up the racing for 2016.

The BRSCC South Eastern Centre's third and final race meeting of the season took place over the weekend of October 22-23, namely the Formula Ford Festival, run in conjunction with BRSCC HQ, featuring a 21-race programme, as usual over Brands Hatch's 1.208 mile Indy Circuit. Saturday dawned foggy, with a spectacular sunrise, with the rest of the day mostly cloudy but thankfully dry. Sunday’s early morning fog cleared to reveal a glorious sun which lasted throughout, albeit with an autumnal nip in the air.

For those who love their club motorsport, there’s events which always hold a special place in any racing fan’s heart. This weekend, we return once again to one of the longest running in the UK. It’s a place where memories have been made, stars have been born and careers have been sent into overdrive with success in the event. For the 45th time, we descend on Brands Hatch in Kent for the legendary spectacle that is the Formula Ford Festival.

The final meeting of the year for our BRSCC Midlands Centre provided as much high drama as, potentially, every other meeting they’ve held this year put together! Every championship in attendance had a title battle to settle and all of them ended in spectacular fashion across two days of ferocious competition.

In two days of spectactular racing, the BRSCC Midlands Centre completed its 2016 season with action on the Donington National circuit in both wet and dry conditions with championships battles going down to the very last races of the year in some cases.

Just where has the time gone? They say it flies when you’re having fun and that’s something we’ve had plenty of since we kicked off the season proper at Snetterton all the way back at the beginning of April. Yet here we are back in mid-October with the last races of the year all set to play out before us. There’s still titles to decide and bragging rights to earn, so now is the time to both reflect and celebrate another fantastic year of club racing.

What better way to close out another season of racing than once again returning to the “Home of British Motorsport” that is Silverstone in Northamptonshire. On a busy weekend for our BRSCC Midlands who are on double duty, the International circuit and the Wing complex plays host to our perennial Finals Weekend where scores are settled and champions are crowned – and as it happened, every single series that’s here this weekend is yet to be decided.

With little more than a handful of points separating those at the top of the standings in the Post89 and Pre90 Classes of the Avon Tyres Northern Formula Ford 1600 Championship there was bound to be plenty of fabulous single-seater action in the final 2 rounds of the season when the BRSCC’s North Western Centre took charge at Oulton Park on 8th October… and that is exactly what happened.

It’s sad that we have to say goodbye to Oulton Park for yet another year, however we’re set to do so in style on Saturday with the final one-day thrash at Cheshire all set to decide 3 more championships for 2016.

Max Fewtrell won the final round of the F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford to be crowned FIA British Formula 4 Champion in style, just hours after his Carlin team had become Teams Champion for the second consecutive year.
