RACE RETRO TICKET OFFER

CATEGORIES:

BRSCC members can get reduced Race Retro tickets.

Race Retro starts one week today and don’t forget that BRSCC members can get reduced rate tickets for the Show which is staged at Stoneleigh Hall, Coventry, between 12th and 14th March.

One of the main features of this year’s Race Retro is a celebration of the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo. There will be a stunning display of cars and some leading Alfa drivers appearing including Italian racing driver Bruno Giacomelli. Bruno participated in over 80 Grand Prix races from 1977 through to 1990 and spent many years at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo 179/182 F1 car.

The BRSCC stand will capture the mood of the celebrations with two Alfas on the Club stand (B30, Hall 2) representing our Alfashop sponsored championship. Tim Lewis’ Alfasud Sprint will be joined by Adie Hawkins’ 33 16V.

Tim has raced the Alfasud in the BRSCC Alfa Romeo Championship since 1991, notching up some seventy overall wins and taking the Championship title in 2006. The 16v boxer engine has been enlarged to 2 litres and with added supercharging, produces around 380 bhp giving a formidable power to weight ratio.

Adie’s 33 is an ex Alfa Corse car that was imported by Andy Curtis in 1995. Over the past few seasons it has undergone considerable development which has made it into a regular race winner. The 2 litre normally aspirated engine now produces over 270 bhp at 9200 rpm.

BRSCC members can book specially discounted tickets in advance at the following rates:

Friday tickets: £25 reduced to £18

Saturday Tickets: £20 reduced to £13

To take up this option, call See Tickets on 0871 2307157 and quote reference BRSCC by Wednesday 10th March.

Other attractions include the Live Rally Stage which is always one of the most popular features of Race Retro. To tie into the Live Rally Stage, there will also be a special tribute to the Audi Quattro, one of the most iconic cars of the 80s and the first rally car to take advantage of the change in rules which allowed the use of four-wheel drive in competition racing.

The show is open from 9.30am each day and closes at 5.30pm on Friday and Saturday and 4.30pm on Sunday. Parking is also free throughout. For the latest updates Click Here
