The BRSCC’s OSS Championship and the three Ma5da Racing Series were guests of the Castle Combe Racing Club over the weekend and it was MX5 Cup man Jordan Stilp who stole the show with a dramatic hat-trick of wins in the Mk3 championship.

The Towcester racer left rivals Luke Herbert, Chrissy Palmer, Adam Gore and Paul Sheard to share the remaining podium positions amongst themselves. The fight for the title now looks like a three-way fight between Stilp, Herbert & Palmer.

In the five Mk1 Championship races, Tom Roche emerged with two wins, the last of which came after the final Mk1 race had to be re-started following a red flag. James Blake-Baldwin, Adam Gore and Ben Short were the other drivers who experienced the top step of the Castle Combe podium. In the MX150-R duo of races, Kevin Dengate and Jonathan Blake shared a win apiece.

In what is very much a rare occurrence, the two OSS Championship races produced two completely different podiums. Simon Tilling in his Radical SR3 took the honours in the first race, followed home by local favourite Josh Smith, with championship leader Darcy Smith third. However, reigning champion Tony Sinclair won the final OSS race in his Jade 3, with Londoner Doug Hart second and Jonathan Hair’s Mallock Beagle third.
