THE INVASION OF THE LOW COUNTRIES

The Zandvoort circuit will provide a striking backdrop to the Caterham action.

The BRSCC are not running any UK race meetings this weekend due to the British F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone, where our Midland Centre Rescue Unit will be on duty.

However, that doesn’t mean that everyone else has their feet up this weekend! No less than five BRSCC championships are taking the opportunity offered by the lull in the UK to go and enjoy some racing at a couple of Europe’s most famous circuits – Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium and Zandvoort in The Netherlands.

The Avon Tyres British GT Championship heads to the undulating circuit in the Ardennes region for two 1 hour races tomorrow.
The GTs will be accompanied in Belgium by the MSA Dunlop Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain, which will feature an influx of entrants from across the continent for the EuroCup rounds.

The third BRSCC championship on the Spa schedule is the FunCup, who have their annual 25-hour race, which is very much the highlight of their season with drivers from across several European FunCup series swelling the grid. The race starts at 4.30pm local time on Saturday afternoon. For more information visit SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS

Meanwhile, 184 miles away across the Dutch border the BookaTrack.com Caterham Superlight R300 Championship and the Avon Tyres Caterham Roadsport Championship will be in action amongst the dunes of Zandvoort at the Caterham Eurofest. Each championship will enjoy a race on both Saturday & Sunday. The timetable and a preview can be found CIRCUIT PARK ZANDVOORT
