The S&G Response Ford XR Challenge will undoubtedly be the star of the show at Anglesey on Sunday when they take to the International Circuit at the Lancashire RS Owners' Club Track Day & Show.

The Challenge, which caters for Fiesta XR2s (Class A) and Escort XR3is (Class B), provides the only race action during the day, with two 20 minute races in the afternoon.

This strange anomaly was the only solution to a scheduling problem caused when an earlier planned round of the XR Challenge at the circuit had to be cancelled.

Of course the Challenge has already had a triple header on the Coastal circuit over Easter Weekend, with Mark Robinson from Chester pulling off a hat-trick of wins. Anglesey’s own John-Ifan Jones also recorded a triple being the first Class B car across the line in each race.

Northwich’s Simon Sheridan completed the triumviarte finishing third in all three races. He will be looking to get back to winning ways at Anglesey after his opening day victory at Oulton Park at the beginning of April.
