ITC Compliance Caterham Supersport Championship

Once the final evolution of the Academy car, the Supersport’s position in Caterham’s motorsport ladder has been replaced this year by the Seven 310R.  However, with full girds and healthy support, the Supersport championship will continue for the pre 2017 cars (and pre-2014 Academy cars that can modified to this level).

The Supersport shares the same basic specification as the Seven 270R (formerly Tracksport), with no windscreen or headlights, plus it’s more track focused suspension.  Like the Seven 310R, the Supersport goes a stage further by adding an additional element of driver control by way of a limited slip differential. To exploit this to its fullest extent, the Supersport engine receives uprated cams and a special cold air intake system, boosting output to 140bhp.

As with Seven 270R and Seven 310R, team support is allowed, providing many drivers with the 'arrive’n’drive' convenience they require to enable them to keep racing. Alternatively, many drivers continue to take up the low-cost central support option offered by Caterham to help get them out of trouble should the time come!
