Speed Group OSS Championship

The Speed Group OSS Championship is probably the fastest championship in the UK. It was started in 2009 to encourage any type of Sports Prototype to come and race. As a result, the regulations are kept open to not only to attract a wide range of cars but also to reward home grown engineering talent. It now heads into its 10th season with the premise of the same exciting mix of marques, models and engines that has made the championship so popular.

The Championship is contested by 8 classes:

Class A     Open top over 2001 cc

Class B     Open top 1501 to 2000 cc

Class C      Open top 1301 to 1500 cc

Class D      Open top 1001 to 1300 cc

Class E       Open top Up to 1000 cc

Class F      Closed top non motorcycle or rotary  engine  cars over 2001 cc

Class G     Closed top non motorcycle or rotary engine enclose cars up to 2000 cc

Class I      Invitation

The regulations allow for competitors to share a car and still compete for the Championship so helping to reduce costs. The race weekend format consists of twenty minutes of qualifying with three races.

Competition on the track is very competitive with close racing but high driving standards which are closely policed. Off-track, the paddock atmosphere is extremely friendly with everyone helping each other, which is what club motor sport should be all about.  This is helped by our own hospitality marquee.
