The first race day of the season for our BRSCC North Western Centre gets set to kick into gear at Oulton Park, as the ever popular endurance spectacle that is the Fun Cup Championship begins another campaign in Cheshire at one of their favourite circuits. After another tense finish to the 2019 season, 2020 promises to once again entertain the ever enthusiastic and supportive Oulton Park crowds, with pit stops and teams featuring anywhere between two to 5 drivers. The cars are identical single-seater based chassis with a silhouette body shell, a tuned VW/Audi engine and a sequential gearbox to ensure a true race car experience. FunCup races are never dull despite their length ranging from 3 to 5 hours with some seeing the winning margin end up at less than a second! With new teams and drivers appearing every season, you’d be crazy to miss this race day’s main event.
In support of the Fun Cup, there’s action aplenty set to feature from the ever growing Production GTi Championship for Mk2 and MK5 generation VW Golf GTis, local single seater action from the opening rounds of the newly renamed Avon Tyres Northern & Super Classic Formula Ford Championship, and another North Western favourite in the form of the fast and furious ST-XR Challenge for a variety of Ford Fiesta and Escort XR and ST models.
