After a successful pair of visits in the last couple of seasons, Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire again welcomes touring car action courtesy of the BRSCC, with some great tin-top support series on the bill to go with them.
TCR UK and the Dunlop Touring Car Trophy will contest two more races towards their 2020 season with the usual mix of TCR, NGTC, S2000 and BTC spec cars all bidding to take the chequered flag first. This is not only a great championship for drivers to learn the ways of touring car racing at their own pace, but to also extend the life of competition cars that may have been sat on the sidelines instead. All in all, it’s excellent touring car racing for a fraction of the price that it may cost to compete in top-level series!
There’s three support championships on the timetable alongside the touring cars that really could be seen as feeder series for those wanting to take that direction in their racing careers. TCR UK/ TCT’s regular support act the Volkswagen Racing Cup is the perfect place for those with particular racing aspirations in mind as Golfs, Sciroccos and other VAG Group cars get a series all to themselves. Also in the paddock on this weekend will be the BRSCC Fiesta Championship for Mk6 Fiesta ST150s and Mk7 Fiesta Zetec S’s who always entertain wherever they race, while their younger counterparts in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship will showcase themselves as potential racing stars of the future, with 14-17 year olds at the wheel learning their craft on track together.
