The most cost-effective way to race a Porsche in the UK, this championship offers enjoyable and exciting racing for Porsche Boxster and 924 models with tightly controlled regulations that provide a level playing field.
NEW FOR 2019: A brand new “SportBoxster” class will be introduced to cater to lightly modified Boxster 2.7 models, providing a further low-cost option to current and prospective competitors; Class A will also be renamed “Supersport Boxster”.
Also known as one of the fastest one-make classes in the UK and is popular with both novice and experienced racers alike, combining powerful and attractive cars with close, fair and intense on-track action.
The 2019 calendar features eight race weekends, all featuring three races each, with five of them also seeing the championship once again feature on the same timetable and support bill as the TCR UK Touring Car Championship, providing increased exposure; Rounds are also regularly televised.
The championship also features a lively social media presence, its own on-site race centre providing hospitality for teams, drivers, sponsors and families, and is supported by a range of prestigious sponsors including long standing title sponsor and tyre supplier Toyo Tires.
Class A – Supersport Boxster: For Porsche Boxster 986 and 987 3.2 models, which upgraded suspension, tyres & a bespoke aero package.
Class B – Production Boxster: For “production” specification Porsche Boxster 986 3.2S models, with standard Motorsport UK safety requirements.
Class C – Sport Boxster: A new class for 2019 accommodating the 2.7 variant of the Porsche Boxster 986. Apart from suspension modifications, specs are standard as well as Motorsport UK safety requirements.
Class D – Classic 924: A long standing class for the Porsche 924; mechanically simple, well balanced, car with low costs, easily available parts and on the whole producing competitive racing.
Class E – Invitation 924 – A class specifically designated for 924 and 924S models that fall outside of the Classic 924 regulations.
All cars run on the Toyo R888R control tyres, with classes required modified suspension running GAZ Shocks.
