CHAMPIONS TURN OUT IN FORCE

Thirty seven champions, class winners and second & third placed drivers gathered at the Holiday Inn, Stratford-upon-Avon for the BRSCC Awards Dinner last Saturday evening for the trophy presentations ceremony hosted by Gemma Scott.

Chairman Bernard Cottrell was the man handing over the awards for the 2009 season and he was especially pleased to present David & Godfrey Jones with the their impressive twin trophies for their long awaited and much deserved triumph in the Avon Tyres British GT Chammpionship, which is the most high profile championship in the BRSCC portfolio.

Also present to be reaquainted with the Neil Shanahan Trophy was Festival winner Chrissy Palmer. Club Formula Ford regular Nigel Thompson made the most visits to the stage collecting three trophies in total for his achievements across the North West, Midlands South and National Club Formula Ford Championships.

Adding some glamour to the occasion was Mighty Minis Ladies Champion Louise Inch and an international flavour to the evening was provided by young American Josef Newgarden who was present to collect the MSA Formula Ford Championship Nations Cup on behalf of the USA.
