Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire has a history that actually dates as far back as the 1920s, but was predominantly a rallycross venue from the late 1960s onwards before it was redeveloped for circuit racing and reopened in 1997. Since then its flat, high-speed nature has led it to become a favourite with drivers, especially with the long straights, the fast Jim Clark Esses and the contrasting final Complex that winds its way back to the pit straight.
