Believe it or not, Pembrey Circuit in Llanelli in southern Wales is actually one of the youngest circuits still in operation, having only begun motorsport activities in 1981. Having previously held races for British F3 and BTCC, Pembrey is mostly used as a testing venue but still hosts club racing weekends throughout the year. A new section of track was installed in 2017 as part of ongoing developments, but the tight opening corner of Hatchets Hairpin will still catch drivers out.
