FORD FIESTAS SET FOR ANOTHER GREAT YEAR

Having judged the mood at the Autosport Show and with tangible evidence in the shape of incoming registration forms, Ford Racing UK boss Kevin Shortis is convinced the Ford Fiesta Championship is in for another bumper year.
“We had four very positive days at the NEC with our own stand to promote the Fiesta Championship and the XR Challenge, which are both of course, BRSCC championships. As has been well documented, the Fiesta’s raised the bar last year both in terms of race entries and the quality of the racing but we are aiming to improve on that again.” The Ford Racing UK stand was a hive of activity so the Fiesta’s certainly look on course for another fantastic year. “The rate that registrations are coming in is very encouraging and we were able to confirm at the Show that all rounds will be filmed by AJK for broadcast on Motors TV. Together with the news that Competition Car Insurance are back on board all the signs are very positive indeed”. 2009 ST champion David Ellesley is looking for a new experience in single-seater racing this season so his car is up for sale. “We wish David well in broadening his racing experience and he will be missed.
