IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING ANGLESEY AUGUST 22-23 MEETING
Dear BRSCC Members and Competitors,
Following a meeting of the BRSCC Exec Committee, it is with regret that the club must announce the cancellation of the race meeting planned for Anglesey Circuit on 22 and 23 August.
Over a number of weeks, the club had been working closely with Motorsport UK and Anglesey Circuit management to establish whether the Welsh Government’s Coronavirus protection conditions currently in force would permit a race meeting to take place.
One of our strategies in attempting to satisfy the relevant authorities that it was as safe as possible to run our event, was by reducing the meeting attendance significantly by removing the National and Northern FF1600 championships and the BRSCC Mazda Championships. Unfortunately, even after having taken these steps, no confirmation was forthcoming.
Although we fully understand that this news comes at short notice, the club wanted to give our members and competitors as much notice as we reasonably could, hence informing you of this decision today.
We are currently looking at options to reschedule the affected race series to Anglesey later in the year and BRSCC Race Admin staff will be in touch with all of those affected in the coming days to try to answer your questions. We would kindly request that to allow them the time to put together the relevant solutions, you refrain from contacting the office in the meantime.
Kindest Regards,
Peter Daly
BRSCC Chairman
