SOUTH EASTERN CENTRE AWARDS

The BRSCC South Eastern Centre held their annual dinner dance at Brands Hatch on Saturday night. The evening was shared with the Ford Fiesta Championship and there were more than 100 officials, marshals and competitors in attendance at the Kentagon.

One of the Centre’s main awards is the Post 2 Trophy which is presented annually to the most entertaining driver. The 2009 winner Chrissy Palmer was on hand to present the award to the 2010 winner Paul Sheard for his exploits at the wheel of his Ma5da MX5.

Centre & Club Chairman Bernard Cottrell presented the remaining South Eastern Awards with Janice Wells winning Marshal of the Year, Bev Franklin won the Specialist of the Year and Carl Streeter took the Trainee of the Year Award. Bernard made one final presentation with the ‘Chairman’s Trophy’ deservedly going to Peter Daniels for services to the Centre.

Drivers from the Fiesta Championship were also present to collect their championship trophies from Steve Harris of Competition Car Insurance, who are the main sponsors of the successful championship.
