BRSCC CITYCAR CUP TO HOST MEDIA & CUSTOMER DAY AT CROFT IN JULY

After the hugely successful launch of the BRSCC CityCar Cup a few days ago, we have now arranged to host a media and customer day to further demonstrate our exciting new race series.

Assisted by our technical partners at SW Motorsports, we will be bringing a number of CityCar Cup race cars to Croft Circuit on 14th July for a day of press drives and customer demonstrations.

As proof of just how much the UK motorsport community have already embraced our innovative new series, we’re delighted to announce that BTCC racers Rob Austin Racing and James Gornall ‘Jiggy’ will be joining us to drive the cars and offer us their hugely respected opinions. They’ll also be on hand to answer questions and sign some autographs as well.

Rob Austin is without question one of the most popular drivers to have competed in the BTCC recently and he has a huge fan following, whereas Jiggy is new to the BTCC grid for 2020 in his Trade Price Cars Racing Audi S3, however judging by his haul of Championship titles over the years he’s certainly one to look out for this season! We’re also delighted that James has signed up as an Ambassador for our series, so you’ll hopefully be seeing and hearing more from him over the course of the next few weeks and months.

If that wasn’t enough, we’re also delighted to be able to announce that Richard and Nick from Bad Obsession Motorsport that’s right, the hugely popular Project Binky YouTube guys) are hoping to get along to Croft for a few laps in one of our cars too. They have already bought a donor car and are aiming to produce a set of videos showing just how easy it is to turn it into a proper little race car. We’ll release more details in due course, however, this forms part of an exciting charity project they’ve come up with.

As well as having our cars driven and evaluated by these top-class professional drivers, there will be opportunities for interested parties to take the cars out for a few solo laps too.

Everyone is welcome to attend, however, if you are genuinely interested in either buying or building a CityCar Cup race car and fancy a few laps in one, then you’ll need to register your interest with us in advance to allow us to allocate a time slot. Please note – for customer demo drives we will ask for a £50 cash contribution to be paid to SW Motorsports on the day. Full race kit and race licence are mandatory.

To register your interest, please drop an email to greg@brscc.co.uk.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE: Social distancing and increased hygiene measures will be in place and enforced throughout the day. If you wish to attend this event we would ask that you adhere to sensible social distancing etiquette and follow all instructions given.
