C1 RACING CLUB VENTURES SOUTH FOR EXCLUSIVE PEMBREY WEEKEND

This weekend the C1 Racing Club are in town in south Wales as the series exclusively takes over the Pembrey circuit for a total of 12 hours of dedicated endurance racing. A pair of six hour races await the teams in a true test of long distance action in what’s sure to be a fine two days of entertainment for all involved.

The previous round at Brands Hatch produced an exciting finish after a late safety car grouped the leaders together. BPC Motorsport, Trojon Motorsport and WRC Developments entertained for the final twelve minutes with BTCC star Josh Cook and Sylvain Rubio taking the honours in the end. With the conclusion of another season on the horizon, this unique weekend will certainly provide a different challenge to those the teams have faced so far.

The usual suspects are all here and turning out for this event as expected. Trojon Motorsport have their pair of cars ready to run with all five of their regular drivers in attendance and hoping to keep up the squad’s great form this season. Their perennial rivals Emax Motorsport are back to their usual armada of C1s with four teams turning out in Wales this weekend, with the car of Max Finn and Murdo MacLeod expected to lead the line. These two teams have been back and forth since the start of the year, so don’t be surprised to see them battling back and forth on track.

Silverlake are back in action too with their pair of entries, featuring Allen Prebble and Greg Rose in one while Michael Chapman and Michael Harris in the other. The same is true for RABsport Racing, although one car sports a rather interesting driver line up. GT star and team boss Shaun Balfe takes the wheel of a Citroen alongside son Thomas and is joined in the line-up by the vastly experienced Warren Hughes, meaning this could be a car to watch on both days. RABsport’s other car features Arthur Simondet too, jumping into a different kind of C1 and fresh from racing in CityCar at Donington Park.

CSC Racing are another team to bring a multitude of cars with three of their own including former racing winning duo Nicholas and James Cunniffe in one and Dave Scotting and Stephen Cunniffe in the other. Brands Hatch victors BPC also have a trio of entries too, with one car featuring C1 Racing Club’s very own Tom Brown alongside Josh and Jack Watts.
