FORMULA FORD DURATEC CALENDAR ANNOUNCED

The 2013 calendar for the new BRSCC Formula Ford Duratec Championship has been announced.

The 19-race championship will be contested over 7 meetings, and will support the British F3/GT package at Rockingham, Silverstone and Donington Park. In an exciting initiative, the Duratec Championship will also join forces with the new Formula Ford North Sea Series at Snetterton, Zandvoort and Brands Hatch. Several European teams have indicated that they will be entering the UK rounds of both the North Sea & F3/GT meetings.

Announcing the calendar, the BRSCC’s Drew Furlong said, “We believe that this is a very attractive calendar with which to launch our new Duratec Championship. The three F3/GT events, allied to the tie-up with the North Sea Series, have the potential to attract a very strong entry. We have certainly had very positive feedback since we announced in October that we would be running the championship”.

The championship will commence with a triple header on the Snetterton 300 circuit on 20^th/21^stApril and conclude at Donington Park on 5^th/6^thOctober, just two weeks before the Formula Ford Festival at Brands Hatch.
