At a recent meeting on Tuesday 19 January 2016, a deal was struck between Michael Quaife of RT Quaife Engineering Ltd and Kevin Shortis (Ford Racing UK) which will see the Quaife name headline as the title sponsor for what will become the Quaife Fiesta Championship.

The deal will see Quaife provide every registered competitor with a Quaife differential unit free of charge. The units will be supplied to registered competitors of the Championship.

This important deal will look to continue by mutual consent after this season as well. Helpfully, Quaife realise that not all competitors will have the knowledge or resource to fit the differential unit so they have generously offered to give a free fitting service if a competitor delivers the appropriate gearbox to Quaife’s Sevenoaks, Kent base for fitting. Additionally Quaife will supply two extra units for the championship as spares should the need arise.

The differential deal will also include the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship drivers under a separate agreement.

Commenting on the deal, Kevin Shortis of Ford Racing UK said, ‘This deal was really down to Fiesta Junior driver Ben Swift who cheekily approached Michael Quaife at the Autosport Show for personal sponsorship. Alas, the request was turned down but them Michael Quaife came up with this deal.'
