ROMAN BILINSKI SWITCHES TO CARLIN FOR 2021 BRITISH F4 TITLE CHALLENGE

Roman Bilinski has confirmed a switch to Carlin for the 2021 F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost season as the Polish racer targets title glory in his sophomore season.

The 16-year-old from Lechlade enjoyed a strong first season in Britain’s FIA Formula 4 series, taking three outright podium finishes and a remarkable 23 points finishes from 26 starts en route to a credible eighth in the standings with Arden.

Back for a second season, and now in partnership with multiple title-winning squad Carlin, as well as loyal sponsors TRS, Bilinski’s focus is firmly on putting a title assault together.

Trevor Carlin’s outfit have won the Drivers’ honours on four occasions, and last year added another Rookie and Teams’ title to their impressive haul in the British Touring Car Championship-supporting series.

Their expertise, coupled with Bilinski’s experience, both on the UK’s highly challenging circuits and in the Ford-powered F4 car, should put both in good stead when the 2021 season begins at Thruxton, Hampshire on 08-09 May.

Once again, Bilinski’s races in 2021 will be televised live and free-to-air on the ITV network, and capacity crowds are expected once it is safe to welcome them back trackside to British Touring Car Championship events again.

Bilinski becomes Carlin’s second-confirmed driver for 2021, following Kai Askey and with more announcements set to be unveiled in due course.

“I’m really excited to be announcing my new partnership with Carlin, and a return to battle for the British F4 title in 2021,” said Bilinski, who will also switch to Carlin’s lucky #31.

“Last season gave me a lot of really valuable experience, and I’m looking forward to putting that together with the team to really unlock my potential.

“I know first-hand how competitive the championship can be, so I’ve got a busy winter ahead of me now to keep testing, keep learning and make sure we arrive at Thruxton in the best position possible.”

Team Principal Trevor Carlin welcomed Bilinski’s addition to his outfit, and is looking forward to working closely to help the new arrival extract the most from his performances in 2021.

“Roman is an extremely welcome addition to the team. We’ve been very impressed with him so far in the couple of days testing he’s done in the car.

“Without doubt he has a lot of potential and will be a great asset to the team. Roman enjoyed a strong first season last year and should be aiming for the championship title in 2021.

“We will do all we can to support him and I look forward to working with him further this year.”
