WEC SUCCESS FOR AUDI

The inaugural FIA World Endurance Championship manufacturers' title was secured yesterday at Silverstone by Audi, as they claimed victory in the Silverstone 6 Hours race, which was organised by the BRSCC.
The NO1. car of Audi Sport Team Joest, piloted by Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Marcel Fassler won the British round of the WEC, with their Audi R18 e-tron quattro hybrid.
The Toyota TS030 HYBRID, driven by Alex Wurz, Kazuki Nakajima and Nicolas Lapierre, was an impressive second. Audi Sport Team Joest enjoyed a succesful weekend as the
non-hybrid R18 ultra, shared by Allan McNish and Tom Kristensen, completed the podium.
