PAUL ANSWERS THE CO-ORDINATORS CALL
Former Slick 50 Road Saloons competitor Paul Smith answered our call to arms for the next generation of co-ordinators that we made in the May edition of BRSCC Racing News. Knutsford based Paul enjoyed two years in the popular Road Saloons championship between 1999 and 2000. Latterly, Paul, who is a freelance IT project manager, has been helping out a friend as the team media officer for their Clio Cup entry that was part of the BTCC package.
After answering our call Paul was invited to the North Western Centre Oulton Park meeting on May 25th where he met Club Formula Ford co-ordinators Ian Smith and Matt Hawkins. Paul also attended the Midland Centre’s National Formula Ford Weekend at Silverstone last Sunday where further meetings took place with Club Director and Mighty Minis co-ordinator Rodger Tello (pictured). For the rest of the season Paul will be assisting Peter Ritchie, the Club Formula Ford Midlands South co-ordinator, with a view to stepping up to the role at the end of this season. The Club is still eager to hear from volunteers who would be interested in becoming a co-ordinator so please contact Dominic at HQ. Email
