GINETTA APPOINTS THE BRSCC AS ORGANISING CLUB FOR 2024 AND BEYOND
Leading British racing car manufacturer Ginetta has agreed a new partnership with the British Racing & Sports Car Club, which will see the BRSCC become the organising club for Ginetta’s racing portfolio for the 2024 season and beyond.
The unrivalled motorsport ladder offered by Ginetta has carried young drivers from entry level competition all the way to international racing stardom, demonstrating a passion for meaningful driver development and high quality racing programmes shared by the BRSCC.
Offering the first step on the motorsport ladder for 14 to 17-year-olds, the Ginetta Junior Championship gives aspiring racing drivers the experience of a lifetime, kick-starting their journey towards a professional racing career. Using a Junior-specification version of the Ginetta G40, the championship is a proven development ground for talented young drivers. This partnership will see the BRSCC broadening the opportunities for young racing drivers to begin their racing careers with the Club.
The Ginetta GT Academy is a unique concept, providing drivers with a high performance, yet safe and reliable racing car to enjoy entry-level GT competition. Sharing unforgettable memories and fun with like-minded individuals is at the heart of the GT Academy offering. Combining identical cars with split grids of mixed experience drivers, GTA ensures close, exciting racing at some of the best circuits in the UK all with first class hospitality and technical support.
The Ginetta GT Championship allows progression from the GT Academy, with the ability to upgrade existing GTA cars to the same level as GTP (Pro) cars. The GTP car spec offers improved performance, braking, grip and power, with the G40-based GT5 class also forming part of Ginetta’s multiclass GT Championship.
Mike Simpson, Ginetta Head of Motorsport said of the new partnership: “We want to keep Ginetta at the forefront of UK racing, as well as continuing our expansion into new markets globally. Joining the BRSCC from 2024 will further guarantee that our teams and drivers will experience great customer service and professionalism from start to finish.”
Luke Souch, BRSCC Sporting Manager added: “We are delighted that Ginetta has chosen to appoint the BRSCC as its organising club from 2024. Having had the opportunity to work with Ginetta and its Championships since it joined SRO’s support package for the British GT Championship at the beginning of this year, this is really positive news and demonstrates the BRSCC’s aptitude in providing professional race services for commercial championships.
“We are heavily focussed on delivering great race meetings for our customers, and as we enter into this new partnership with Ginetta we look forward to supporting its Championships at British GT events and organising the 2024 ‘G-Fest’. We also welcome Ginetta’s racing customers as our members from 2024 and beyond.”
