KENT MODELS ANNOUNCED AS TITLE SPONSOR FOR THE BRSCC MAZDA MX-5 CHAMPIONSHIP
The BRSCC is pleased to welcome Kent Models as the new title sponsor of the Kent Models Mazda MX-5 Championship for the 2025 season and beyond.
Kent Models is a model maker’s dream, offering a vast selection of plastic model kits and accessories from some of the biggest brands in the industry, including Tamiya, Italeri, AirFix, and Mr Hobby, alongside exclusive and hard-to-find kits from Aoshima and Fujimi, imported directly from Japan. Their passion for model making aligns perfectly with the enthusiasm and dedication found within the MX-5 paddock, making them an exciting addition to the championship.
As one of the UK’s most competitive single-make club racing series, the Kent Models Mazda Mk1 MX-5 Championship delivers thrilling, wheel-to-wheel action using the iconic Mk1 Mazda MX-5. Known for its close racing, welcoming paddock, and affordability, the championship consistently attracts large grids and remains fiercely competitive right up to the final race of the season.
To celebrate the partnership, every registered driver will receive a Mk1 MX-5 model kit, courtesy of Kent Models, with further prizes set to be awarded throughout the season. In addition, all competing cars will be supplied with new sun strips and rear number plate stickers, reinforcing the refreshed championship branding.
Paul McErlean, Chief Operating Officer of the BRSCC, commented:
“We’re delighted to welcome Kent Models as the new title sponsor of the Kent Models Mazda MX-5 Championship for 2025 and beyond. I’m sure the drivers will appreciate the fantastic Mk1 MX-5 model kits, and we look forward to working with Kent Models to deliver an exciting season ahead.”
Vincent Bean, Sales Manager of Kent Models, added:
“The MX-5 is a cracking car and one of our most popular model kits, so we’re very excited and proud to support the championship and drivers. Our entire product range is geared towards car enthusiasts who may wish to take up model making in their spare time. It’s a wonderful hobby to have and, for many, rekindles the memories of model making as a child. We wish all drivers participating a safe and successful season and look forward to meeting everyone at a circuit this year.”
The 2025 Kent Models Mazda MX-5 Championship is set to deliver another season of intense competition, and this new partnership ensures even more excitement both on and off the track.
