VOLKSWAGEN AUDI CHAMPIONSHIP LAUNCHED
Ahead of the 2026 racing season, the BRSCC is delighted to announce an exciting development within the Club’s racing portfolio!
In response to demand from its racing members, the British Racing & Sports Car Club is dramatically expanding the Audi TT Cup Racing Championship to embrace the entire VW/Audi Group (VAG) racing community for 2026 and beyond, with drivers and cars to race under the new VW Audi Racing Championship banner.
This isn’t just an evolution; it’s a BRSCC revolution, bringing top level multi-class VAG action to the forefront of the Club’s racing offer. Catering for all VAG marques, the 2026 VW Audi Racing Championship will be the UK’s only multi-class VAG circuit racing championship, and it promises some of the most diverse and competitive VAG tin-top racing.
Drivers in the popular, performance-equalized Audi TT Cup will continue to fiercely defend their own championship class, with the competition being enhanced and supported by two incredible additions:
- The Classic VW Cup Class: High-quality, proven VAG race cars bringing their own brand of close-quarters racing, and competing within a points scoring championship structure for the first time since joining the BRSCC.

Open Class: A vibrant, eclectic mix of other high-quality VAG race cars, ensuring variety and showcasing the full spectrum of VAG performance.
This innovative format is set to deliver an incredible spectacle, creating a dynamic racing environment where different VAG marques and generations battle wheel-to-wheel on some of the UK’s best circuits.
The official 2026 Sporting and Technical Regulations, which will detail the class structures, racing formats and championship scoring, are being prepared and will be shared in due course.
