Maureen Barnes and Ken Wilson were presented with champagne to mark their retirement from ‘the bank’.

The BRSCC Northern Centre enjoyed their annual marshals' ‘thank you’ barbecue at Cadwell Park at the recent two-day BRSCC meeting.

Around 70 marshals, officials and their friends enjoyed the barbecue, making it one the best-supported events since it started, and everyone seemed very appreciative. As ever, thanks are due to Northern Centre Secretary, Jo Coote, for organising the event, aided and abetted by Maureen Barnes.

Following their retirement from ‘the bank’, Maureen and Ken Wilson were presented with some champagne as a ‘thank you’ for services rendered!

The marshals were of course mindful of the tragedy of the previous week when Canadian marshal Mark Robinson was killed at the Montreal GP so a minutes silence was held on the grid, in his honour, on both Saturday and Sunday.

The next meeting for the BRSCC Northern Centre is back at Cadwell Park on Saturday 21st September, which will feature Mighty & Super Mighty Minis, Arrowpak Eurosaloons, Toyo Tires Porsches, Formula Jedi and the 4Two Cup.
