The last day of competition for the BRSCC North Western Centre at Oulton Park in Cheshire should two championship settle their scores – and potentially a third if results dictate it!
After they began the season here back at the end of March, the Fun Cup Championship makes what is now becoming a traditional return leg trip to Oulton Park for its final race of the season, at a circuit which has typically produced thrilling conclusions to their title battles in recent years. The final 4 hours of racing will be typical Fun Cup, set to produce non-stop wheel to wheel action from start to finish with no let up in intensity – something you don’t normally see in endurance racing!
The other series looking to crown a champion on this day will be the ST-XR Challenge, with multiple classes of classic Ford hot hatches battling it out for their own regional-based championship. This will be their fourth and final visit of 2020 and the entry is set to be awash with Ford Fiesta XR2s, Escort XR3is, Fiesta ST150s and Fiesta Si’s, all of which competing for overall and individual class glory.
There is also a chance the Avon Tyres Northern & Super Classic Formula Ford Championship could see the fate of its championships sealed here too, with Formula Ford chassis ranging from contemporary to historic catered for among any of the five classes on offer. Formula Ford always delivers spectacular racing wherever you find it and the Northern & Super Classic contingent should deliver as they always tend to do.
Also be on the lookout for the rapid Superkarting UK on the timetable too as these little buzzsaws will rip up the tarmac with their intense speed and grip!
