BRSCC APPOINTED SILVERSTONE 24H ORGANISERS

The British Racing & Sports Car Club are pleased to confirm that they have been appointed by Creventic, promoters of the 24 Hour Series, as the organizers of this year’s Hankook 24 Hours of Silverstone on April 1-3 2016.

As the UK’s premier 24 hour endurance race, this year’s event at Silverstone will be the first under its new ownership following its previous spell under Britcar. Last year the event made a comeback to the motorsport calendar, however following negotiations between Creventic and former Britcar owner James Tucker, the event has changed hands to ensure its longevity.

This year’s 24 Hours of Silverstone will be open exclusively to touring cars, inviting TCR-spec machinery to participate alongside a number of classes set to include a variety of Cup and production cars. The entry list is already proving to be very healthy, with the current grid standing at just over 70 cars at the time of writing. The UK is set to be well represented also, with several teams across the majority of classes set to compete in the hope their local knowledge will serve them well.

I have every confidence in the new promoters who have helped to build the 24 Hour Series to the high standard to which it currently runs.
