2026 BRSCC SNETTERTON SPRING RACE WEEKEND

9 May 2026 - 10 May 2026

The Norfolk skyline is primed for a weekend of relentless, wheel-to-wheel drama as the BRSCC Snetterton Spring Race Weekend takes over the technical Snetterton 200 circuit on 9–10 May. While the longer 300 layout is a common destination for the club, the 200 circuit is a change of scenery and favourite among club racers for its relentless, fast-paced nature. By bypassing the complex infield of the 300, the 200 configuration creates a high-speed loop that emphasises slipstreaming and brave late-braking manoeuvres. Drivers must master the heavy braking zone into the Brundle and Nelson complex before navigating the daunting, high-speed sweep of Coram, where commitment is the difference between a podium and the back of the pack.

Live streams will be available across the weekend, so watch below:

Fun Cup Endurance

The ever-popular Fun Cup Endurance Championship headlines the action with its signature long-form competition. Following an intense opening round at Oulton Park that saw seven different leaders and a variety of weather conditions, the series arrives in Norfolk with Team GRD (Chris Dovell, Simon Rudd, and Riley Phillips) leading the standings after a commanding 25-second victory. They face stiff competition from reigning champions UVio/Hofmann’s Motorsport and a resilient Rob Boston Racing squad, the latter of which performed a heroic charge from dead last to the front of the field before a late penalty dropped them to sixth. With 29 cars expected to battle for four hours, teams must strike a perfect balance between outright pace and tactical pit-stop strategy to conquer the Snetterton 200.

RacingLine VW Audi Racing Championship

The Volkswagen Audi Racing Championship features intense competition across multiple classes. In the Modified category, David Lawrence and Paul Roddison traded dominance at the opener, though Lawrence and Tim Evans now lead the charge for class points following post-race penalties for rivals. The Classic class has been firmly under the control of Chris Adams, who secured a flawless double victory at the season opener, while Jonathan Halliwell proved to be the class of the Production field by sweeping both races in his VW Scirocco. As these drivers transition from the tight, undulating curves of Brands Hatch to the flat-out, power-dependent straights of Norfolk, the mechanical reliability of their tuned machinery will be tested to the limit.

Audi TT Cup Racing Championship

The Audi TT Cup arrives at Snetterton following a thrilling season opener at Brands Hatch that was defined by razor-thin margins and door-to-door combat. Joe Weaver claimed the initial spoils of the season with a Race 1 victory, but the momentum shifted in the second heat as Ross Stoner took a hard-fought win, edging out Weaver by just 0.482 seconds. With Oliver Devine-King proving his raw pace by securing the fastest lap of the weekend, the front-runners are currently separated by less than a second. With more competitors entered for round 2, the high-speed nature of Snetterton will favor those who can master the draft and find the perfect line through Coram to set up an overtake into the final corner.

Nankang Tyre BMW SuperCup Championship

The BMW 1 Series Class heads to Norfolk after Aydan Hassan made a massive statement at the season opener. Despite qualifying in third, Hassan maintained a blistering pace to secure the race victory with a 56.334 best lap. He faces stiff competition from Darren Rickaby, who proved to be the fastest man on track with a weekend-best 56.310, and Thorburn Astin, who remains a constant threat for the top step. Notably, pole-setter Connor Grady was unable to start the first race, leaving him hungry to reclaim his position at the front of the grid and utilize the 1 Series’ rear-wheel-drive power on Snetterton’s long straights.

In the Compact Cup Class, Max Noble emerged from the season opener as the driver to beat after translating a pole-position start into a definitive class victory. Noble’s pace was the benchmark for the field, but he remains under pressure from veteran Paul Mousell, who clinched the Masters class win while finishing second overall. Further down the order, Matt Kendall and Xabier Ross engaged in a frantic battle for the final podium spots, finishing less than a second apart. With front-runners like Joseph and Mike Doble looking to bounce back from opening-round DNFs, the competition at Snetterton is set to be exceptionally fierce and bumper-to-bumper.

Mini Se7en & S-Class – Goodyear Mini Challenges supported by Mini Spare

The Mini Se7ens delivered a masterclass in tactical racing during their opening weekend, headlined by a popular and long-overdue victory for Glen Woodbridge. Woodbridge bided his time to pounce when leaders Spencer Wanstall and Daniel Munro ran wide, while Munro and Wanstall later redeemed themselves by taking the top spots in soaking wet conditions. In the S-Class, Michael Winkworth established himself as the standout performer, rising to 6th overall and setting a new lap record on his way to a double victory. The Se7en grid is famous for multi-car slipstreaming trains, and the Snetterton 200 straights are the perfect arena for these legendary tactical battles.

Mini Miglia & Libre – Goodyear Mini Challenges supported by Mini Spares

The Mini Miglias return for their first Snetterton appearance of the year, bringing high-speed, wide-body action to the 200 circuit. In the opening exchanges, Aaron Smith and Sam Summerhayes split the victories, with Smith prevailing after a close duel with Ian Curley. Kane Astin showcased the incredible development of these machines by shattering the existing lap record by nearly half a second. In the Libre category, Huw Turner and Richard Colburn shared the spoils, with Turner charging from the back of the grid for a Saturday win and Colburn recovering from an earlier slip to take Sunday’s top honors.

Nankang Tyre City Car Cup

The Nankang Tyre City Car Cup grid arrives in Norfolk following an incredibly tight opening round where track limits and slipstreaming were the talk of the paddock. While Richard Jepp enjoyed a near-perfect start to the season with two overall victories, pole-sitter Alistair May remained a constant threat throughout, ultimately securing a hard-fought win in the final race of the weekend. Andrew Dyer and Luca Proietti both established themselves as key title contenders with strong podium finishes, but the standout drive of the weekend came from Alex Foden; after a qualifying disqualification forced him to start 27th, he carved through the field to 7th overall in Race 1 while setting a blistering fastest lap. With Chris Brewster showcasing remarkable pace to clinch a late podium in Race 3 and drivers like Jack Burgess and Alex Jackson hunting for their first silverware of the year, the stage is set for another round of what is widely considered one of the most frantic bumper-to-bumper championships in club racing.

Student Motorsport Competition

The Student Motorsport Competition, which runs within the City Car Cup, saw Richard Jepp enjoy a near-perfect start to the season. Jepp established himself as the benchmark for the field by taking overall honors in the first two races, but he faces a significant threat from Andrew Dyer and the hard-charging Alex Foden. Foden’s performance at the opener was particularly striking; after a qualifying disqualification forced him to start 27th, he carved through the field to 7th overall, proving that no lead is safe in the SMC. The technical student teams now face the challenge of optimizing their cars for Snetterton’s flat-out sections, where mechanical preparation and drafting strategy are the keys to victory.

Silverlake DS3 Cup

The Silverlake DS3 Cup arrives at Snetterton as a wide-open contest after a rotating cast of leaders provided non-stop drama at Brands Hatch. Daniel Duell emerged as the initial pace-setter with a Race 1 win, but Aaron Chalk made a significant impact by securing victories in both subsequent races and setting a session-best lap of 59.859. They are closely pursued by Theo Longman and Masters category leaders Stefan Oates and Alex Hughes, all of whom have shown the pace to challenge for the overall podium. The technical sections of the 200 circuit will reward the drivers who can maintain momentum while managing the aggressive slipstreaming that the DS3s are famous for.

Silverlake Production Cup

The Silverlake Production Cup is currently headlined by Rich Hockley, who delivered a masterclass at the season opener by sweeping all three races and setting the weekend’s best lap. While Hockley is the clear man to beat in Class A, the battles in the lower categories are just as intense. In Class B, Matt Dennis and Robert Buckland are locked in a rivalry often separated by less than half a second, while Mac McCarthy remains the undisputed king of Class D in his Ford Fiesta ST150. As the grid moves to Snetterton, the tactical drafting battles in the lower classes are expected to intensify, making every corner exit crucial for overall position.

Modified Ford Series

The Modified Ford Series arrives in Norfolk following a display of total dominance by James Allen at Oulton Park. Allen’s Focus RS proved unrivaled as he secured two overall victories and the weekend’s fastest lap of 1:50.125. Paul Nevill remains his primary challenger, having pushed Allen to within six seconds in their last outing. However, all eyes will be on heavy hitters Piers Grange and Andy Robinson, both of whom suffered mechanical failures at the opener and are desperate to find the reliability needed to halt Allen’s perfect start. With a variety of classes including the rapid Class SA and the ultra-competitive B and C fields, the Fords will provide a high-decibel highlight for the weekend.

The Snetterton 200 circuit is set to be a pressure cooker of speed and strategy this weekend. From high-stakes endurance racing to frantic, bumper-to-bumper drafting, every corner will be pushed to the limit. The stage is set for a weekend of unforgettable motorsport drama, don’t miss a second as the BRSCC 2026 season shifts into top gear!
