BRSCC LAUNCHES NEW PRODUCTION CUP SERIES FOR 2025

The BRSCC is delighted to announce the all-new Production Cup series for 2025, in response to our members regularly asking for a mixed class production-based sprint format series.

This exciting new series will provide a home for a vast variety of clubman-level race cars to compete against one another in a BHP/Tonne class-based structure within 15-minute race durations.

Production Cup grids will typically be populated by a wide mix of hatch and saloon based race cars Examples may include BMW (1/2/3 Series), Citroen (AX, C2, Saxo), Ford (Fiesta, Puma, KA, Focus), Honda (Civic, CRX), Mazda (MX-5, RX-7, RX-8), MINI, Peugeot (106, 205, 206), Renault (5, Clio), Suzuki (Swift), Toyota (MR2), Vauxhall (Astra, Nova, Corsa) and more battling it out on track.

To allow each class to remain attractive and ultra-competitive, the BHP/Tonne difference between the most/least powerful cars in each has been set at only 29 BHP/Tonne, meaning that class wins can realistically be achieved by any car/driver within each class. The class structure for the new Production Cup series will be as follows:

Class A 206 – 235 bhp/tonne
Class B 176 – 205 bhp/tonne
Class C 156 – 175 bhp/tonne
Class D 136 – 155 bhp/tonne
Class E Up to 135 bhp/tonne

Full technical regulations will be published in due course, however Production Cup will be very open in terms of suspension, engines, tyres, brakes etc. Cars must run on List 1A/ 1B/ 1C tyres, and all cars must comply with the mandatory Motorsport UK safety requirements.
