ANGLESEY BRINGS DOWN THE CURTAIN ON THE 2012 SEASON
The BRSCC season finally comes to a close on Sunday (2nd December) at Anglesey with the North Western Centre Winter Raceday, which will feature 5 races in total.
Some facts and figures……the BRSCC season has spanned 9 months and in that time the Club and it’s regional Centres have been involved in organising almost 70 race meetings at 16 circuits both home and abroad, with over 1,000 races having been run . The meetings range from international FIA sanctioned events through to sprints and good old-fashioned ‘clubbies’ such as Sunday’s Winter Raceday.
The highest number of competitors turning out at any one meeting were the 257 drivers who raced at the Snetterton Caterham Weekend at the beginning of September. The Club would like to thank all competitors for coming out to support our meetings. Silverstone, in its various configurations, was the busiest circuit, with the Midland Centre running 12 meetings at the famous Northamptonshire track.
Sunday’s 5 races will be run on the 1.55-mile Coastal circuit and will feature double-headers for the Winter Sportscars, Saloons & Caterhams and the Winter Formula Fords. There is also a 45 minute, 2-driver Enduro race. The Final Instructions, entry list and timetable can be found at ANGLESEY WINTER RACEDAY
Finally, the BRSCC is of course indebted to the hundreds of marshals and officials who readily and freely give their time so these meetings can take place. These volunteers are the very life-blood of motorsport and we are sincerely grateful.
