BRITISH F4 CONFIRMS ATTRACTIVE PRIZE OFFERINGS FOR 2019

The F4 British Championship certified by FIA – powered by Ford EcoBoost has confirmed an attractive prize offering ahead of the 2019 campaign, underlining Ford’s commitment to providing the next generation of motorsport talent with a platform to succeed.

The Ford EcoBoost-powered series has garnered a reputation for being one of the hardest FIA-sanctioned Formula 4 championships to win, with the rewards for success reflecting that.

These prizes reflect Ford’s continued commitment to supporting the next generation of drivers and engineers in reaching the pinnacle of motorsport, a commitment further underlined by keeping entry and registration costs fixed since the championship’s inception as MSA Formula in 2015.

Once again in 2019, the FIA British Formula 4 Champion will receive a fully-funded test with a leading FIA European F3 team courtesy of series tyre suppliers Hankook, as well as an invite to the FIA Prize Giving Ceremony, MSA Night of Champions and BRSCC Awards.

They will also benefit from receiving 12 valuable FIA Super License Points to assist their progression up the motorsport ladder, which continue to be awarded on a sliding scale to seventh overall.

The Rookie Cup offers opportunities for development to those with no previous car racing experience, with the winner awarded free entry to the 2020 F4 British Championship.

Ford will continue to offer £10,000 to the first driver to win all three races in a single weekend, and £5,000 to the first Rookie Cup entrant to win a race overall.

The ‘Most Improved’ Driver at each meeting – decided by the number of places gained in Races 1 & 3 at each event from their respective starting positions – will win a free set of Hankook tyres for testing and a €1,000 credit for spare parts courtesy of Mygale is on offer for the team that secures pole position at each round.

It’s not all about the on-circuit action, however. Snap-On Tools will provide a £300 voucher to the championship’s top technician at each round, and the top technician at the end of the year will receive a uniquely customised Snap-On Business Solutions Toolbox worth over £5,000.

Another ten-event, thirty-race season promising plenty of drama, intrigue and wheel-to-wheel action will get underway at the 1.2-mile Brands Hatch circuit in Kent on 6th-7th April, 2019.
