BRSCC CLAPHAM NORTH WINTER ESPORTS READY FOR SEASON FINALE AT SILVERSTONE
The fate of the title for the third BRSCC Clapham North Winter eSports Series will be decided at the final event of the season on the full Silverstone GP circuit, where either James Dennison or Matt Kendall look set to take the top spot.
After another pair of victories at the previous event at Cadwell Park, Dennison goes to Silverstone for the final three races of the season with a lead of ten points over campaign long rival Kendall, and while it appears Dennison is in the driving seat so to speak, Kendall can definitely still overcome the deficit if he can outscore James enough across the evening. If they end up tied on points after tonight, even if Kendall were to win all three races, Dennison would still take the title on countback of victories.
It’s also relatively close in the standalone battles for third and fifth respectively. Will Blackwell-Chambers’ second win of the season at Cadwell in race three helped him increase his gap over Thomas Merritt to eighteen points and looks set to take the final points podium spot, but any bad fortune could turn the tide the other way. Behind them, there’s eleven points separating Isaac Doble and Jack Noller, the latter doing a fine job to rise this high despite missing the opening event at Navarra. Doble was missing from Cadwell Park, so he’ll need to race hard to ensure Noller doesn’t overhaul his short advantage.
Benjy Douglas and Tom Monhemius are two young talents who have shown flashes of brilliance throughout the series and find themselves now locked in a scrap over seventh with only two points between them going to Silverstone. There’s every chance this could go either way with both drivers seeming evenly matched on pace.
Currently rounding off the top ten, it’s as tight as you can get between Jon Pethick and Joe Moss over ninth with both drivers tied going to the final event. This really could go either way depending on who can have the better evening, so be prepared for this one to go right down to the last corner.
After what has unquestionably been the best BRSCC eSports series to date, it all comes down to the final 45 minutes of racing left to run. Will it be Dennison or Kendall left standing on top? Tune in on YouTube to find out!
