BRSCC Confirms Leadership Transition as Paul McErlean Steps Down

The British Racing & Sports Car Club (BRSCC) confirms that Paul McErlean will be stepping down from his role as Chief Operating Officer, following a planned leadership transition and the successful delivery of the objectives set at the outset of his appointment.

Paul took on the role in late 2019 with a clear remit to strengthen the Club’s commercial foundations and to build a capable and committed operational team. Over the past six seasons, he has played a central role in delivering those objectives, overseeing a period of sustained growth, improved operational stability and renewed confidence across the Club’s activities.

Paul initially worked with the BRSCC as a consultant before taking on the full-time Chief Operating Officer role to deliver a defined set of objectives. With those objectives achieved, this transition reflects a planned move on to a new challenge within the sport.

To provide continuity, Paul will support the Executive Board as responsibilities transition to the new leadership team. This reflects a considered and structured approach, providing reassurance to members, partners and stakeholders as the Club moves into its next phase.

As part of the leadership transition, responsibilities within the Club will be expanded across the existing senior management structure. Luke Souch will assume the role of Head of Club Operations, while Greg Graham will take up the position of Head of Commercial Strategy. Together, they will lead the Club into its next phase of development.

Paul McErlean said:

“Leading the BRSCC has been a hugely rewarding experience. When I took on the role, the focus was on building a strong and sustainable platform for the future, and I’m extremely proud of what has been achieved during that time.”

“With those objectives delivered, I now feel it is the right time to move forward with the Club’s management transition, with a strong leadership structure now in place.”

“The Club is built on the commitment of its people, and I would like to thank the Board, staff, volunteers, officials, partners and members for their support and dedication over the past six years. I have every confidence in the Club as it moves into its next chapter.”

BRSCC Chairman Peter Daly added:

“Paul has made a significant contribution to the Club during his time as Chief Operating Officer. His leadership has played an important role in strengthening the Club’s commercial position, operational structure and long-term stability.”

“The Board is confident that the leadership structure now in place provides continuity and stability as the Club prepares for the forthcoming season and its longer-term development.”
