BRSCC GEARS UP FOR PEMBREY RETURN

For the first time in 8 years, the BRSCC will be making a return to Wales’ original home of motorsport, as May will see the club take a selection of its championships and series back to Pembrey in April.

The last time the Club ran a race event at the Carmarthenshire venue was back in 2011, where the likes of the OSS Championship, Alfa Romeo Championship and the Euro Saloon & Sports Championship contested rounds of their respective series. This year, the Club will head back with a meeting on April 20/21. The timetable will be dominated by the 6-race schedule for the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship, with the Mazda MX-5 Super Series also making an appearance with three races of their own. Alongside the Mazdas, the BRSCC Fiesta Championship racing with MRF and the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship with MRF Tyres will also be present on the schedule, with further racing action to be provided by the Welsh Saloons & Sports Car Championship.

The race weekend will also make use of the new section of track that was added in the circuit’s recent redevelopments back in 2017. The new section comprises of a tight left hander that then sees the car turn back right on to the existing circuit to continue on the rest of the lap. This should provide prime overtaking opportunities when racing gets underway.

Testing is already available to book for Thursday April 18th and Friday April 19th for £180 for a full day, or £110 for a half day session either in the morning or afternoon. Head to https://pembreycircuit.co.uk/trackdays to book your session before they sell out.
