BRSCC & GOODYEAR AGREE A 3 YEAR PARTNERSHIP FOR FIESTA & FIESTA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

The British Racing & Sports Car Club are delighted to announce a 3 year tyre partnership with Goodyear for both the BRSCC Fiesta Championship and BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.

Goodyear is one of the best known tyre brands in motorsport, with a long and rich history as a supplier to Formula 1 (with 368 Grand Prix victories), as well as IndyCar, NASCAR and 14 victories at the Le Mans 24 Hours. Goodyear currently supplies the World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series, several touring car series including the British Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Cup, as well as many other disciplines of motorsport including the Dakar Rally and European truck racing.

Starting from the 2021 season Goodyear will supply tyres to both elements of the BRSCC Fiesta paddock, and will also provide service and supply support at every race meeting to ensure competitors always have access to tyres.

Mickey Butler of Goodyear Racing, spoke of his delight at Goodyear’s arrival in the BRSCC Fiesta paddock, saying: “The Ford and Goodyear brands have a long and successful history together including BTCC, F1 and Le Mans victories. In 2020, Goodyear returned to top-level touring car racing as tyre supplier to BTCC and WTCR. We see the importance of building a Goodyear supported pathway to the top echelons of touring car racing. The Fiesta Championship with their ladder from the Junior level to the new turbocharged class provide the perfect introduction to touring cars and we are proud to work with the BRSCC and their Fiesta Championship team to help them further grow the series”.

Paul McErlean, BRSCC’s Chief Operating Officer added, “Everyone who knows motorsport knows Goodyear and what they’ve achieved over several decades of involvement in racing. To now have the brand onboard supporting our Fiesta paddock adds great credibility as we continue the revitalisation of both championships heading into 2021. The involvement of Goodyear should also give our racers and teams further confidence that the club are striving to further develop all levels of BRSCC Fiesta racing”.

Keep an eye on the BRSCC Fiesta website and Facebook pages for more information about this new tyre deal, including tyre specification and prices. 2021 registrations will also be open very soon as well.
