BRSCC & INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN TO JOIN FORCES FOR SILVERSTONE GP ROUNDS IN 2019
The British Racing & Sports Car Club is pleased to announce that they have been appointed as the organising club for next year’s International GT Open race weekend at Silverstone on September 6-8 2019 on the GP circuit.
The BRSCC will assist in organising all three days of on-track activity, where the GT Open Championship will headline the weekend alongside Euroformula Open, GT Cup Open Europe and the new Alpine Europa elf Cup. In addition, the BRSCC’s newest headline series, the TCR UK Touring Car Championship, will also compete on the same weekend making their second appearance at the “Home of British Motorsport” and their first on the full 3.67 mile layout as part of the schedule for their second season.
Next year’s event will continue the relationship between BRSCC and GT Sport, with the club last organising the Silverstone meeting in 2013 and 2014.
Speaking of the agreement, BRSCC Competitions Director Dominic Ostrowski said “Naturally, we are delighted that GT Sport has selected the BRSCC to work with them at the International GT Open race weekend. We are looking forward to what will be a brilliant three days of track action which will also see TCR UK debut on the Grand Prix circuit.”
