BRSCC OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON COVID-19 – 17/03/2019
Dear Competitors, Officials and Club Members,
We hope this statement finds you and your family well at this difficult time.
Motorsport UK have just issued the following Statement announcing the suspension of Motorsport activities until the 30th of April at the earliest.
“It is with regret that Motorsport UK is suspending all organising permits and Certificates of Exemption until at least 30th April 2020. This suspension follows the latest guidance issued by HM UK Government in response to the outbreak of COVID-19. This position will be constantly reviewed given prevailing information.
As the National Governing Body, we would ask all Motorsport UK members to act responsibly and follow the Government’s guidance during this difficult time.
We thank all of our members, organisers, officials, volunteers, staff and their families for their support during these unprecedented times. We will continue to monitor the situation and will resume sporting activity as soon as we are able. We also have a responsibility and duty of care to our staff who will be working from home, so please be patient with any queries you may have.”

Following this statement we will have to suspend the following Race Meetings at Silverstone on the 21st and 22nd March, at Oulton Park on the 28th March, and Silverstone on the 18th and 19th of April.
As a club who makes the safety of our drivers and volunteers our top priority, we are supportive of Motorsport UK’s announcement and believe this is the correct course of action at this time.
The BRSCC will work closely with Motorsport UK and the circuits involved to try to reschedule the suspended race meetings, and all entries and payments received so far will be carried over to future events.
We look forward to seeing you healthy and ready to race very soon.
Kindest Regards
