BRSCC OVERSEES SUCCESSFUL ELMS RETURN TO SILVERSTONE
The British Racing & Sports Car Club was proud and priviliged to play its part in bringing top level sportscar racing back to the UK this past weekend, as the European Le Mans Series made its first visit to these shores and to Silverstone for six years.
Not only did Sunday’s Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone produce a thrilling spectacle, but the support races from Saturday’s Michelin Le Mans Cup encounter and the pair of Ligier European Series also provided their own exciting action on track too.
European Le Mans Series
The 2025 Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone produced a dramatic contest in front of over 110,000 spectators, with changeable weather and several red flags shaping the outcome of the penultimate round of the European Le Mans Series season.
IDEC Sport claimed a hard-fought overall victory as Jamie Chadwick, Mathys Jaubert and Daniel Juncadella steered the no.18 Oreca to their third win of the year. The French outfit judged the switch to wet tyres perfectly as conditions worsened in the final stages, moving into a lead they would not relinquish before heavy rain brought the race to an early conclusion ten minutes before the flag. The result puts IDEC back into title contention heading to the Portimão season finale.
CLX Motorsport wrapped up the LMP3 championship in style as Paul Lanchère, Adrien Closmenil and Theodor Jensen guided the no.17 Ligier-Toyota to their fourth win of the campaign. Despite the interruptions and tricky track conditions, the trio stayed out of trouble to seal both team and driver honours with one round to spare.
In LMP2 Pro/Am, Algarve Pro Racing made it back-to-back wins thanks to Kriton Lentoudis, Olli Caldwell and Alex Quinn in the no.20 Oreca. After a close fight with the no.99 AO by TF and no.83 AF Corse entries, Quinn took control in the decisive stint to extend their championship lead.
The LMGT3 battle was equally dramatic, with the no.50 Richard Mille by AF Corse Ferrari of Custodio Toledo, Riccardo Agostini and Lilou Wadoux coming from tenth on the grid to secure victory. Wadoux held off late pressure from Riccardo Pera in the no.86 GR Racing Ferrari before the red flag was shown, the classification rolling back to confirm the AF Corse crew as winners.
With IDEC Sport taking overall honours, CLX Motorsport crowned LMP3 champions, Algarve Pro Racing extending their Pro/Am advantage, and AF Corse prevailing in LMGT3, the stage is set for a thrilling season finale at Portimão.

Michelin Le Mans Cup
The Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone delivered a thrilling contest, ending with new champions crowned and history made across the categories.
The overall victory went to Hugo Schwarze and Hadrien David in the no.85 R-ace GP Duqueine after an intense fight that ran right to the flag. David came under heavy pressure from Romain Favre in the no.29 Forestier Racing by VPS Ligier over the closing stages, but held his nerve to cross the line just 0.114s ahead. The win also sealed the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup Driver and Team titles for Schwarze, David and R-ace GP with one race to spare, capping an outstanding season.
The LMP3 Pro/Am battle initially saw High Class Racing take the flag, but their no.49 Ligier was later disqualified for failing to reach Parc Fermé under its own power. That handed victory to the no.28 23Events Racing Ligier of Terence Woodward and James Winslow, with the no.66 Rinaldi Racing and no.84 ANS Motorsport entries promoted to second and third respectively.
In GT3, Iron Dames made history as Vanina Ickx and Marta Garcia Lopez secured a landmark win in the no.83 Porsche. The result means the Italian squad has now achieved victories at every level of the ACO endurance racing ladder. Garcia brought the car home 42 seconds clear of the no.51 AF Corse Ferrari, with the no.23 Biogas Motorsport Ferrari completing the podium.
With Schwarze and David crowned champions, 23Events Racing inheriting LMP3 Pro/Am honours, and Iron Dames breaking new ground in GT3, the Silverstone round provided a dramatic and memorable chapter in the 2025 Michelin Le Mans Cup season.

Ligier European Series
The Ligier European Series produced two action-packed races at Silverstone, with Team Virage and LR Motorsport emerging as the standout performers across the JS P4 and JS2 R categories.
In Race 1, Brandon McCaughan and Léo Samy Robinson delivered Team Virage’s first win of the season in the no.1 Ligier JS P4 after an hour-long battle with championship leaders Loire Valley Racing. Robinson held off Romain Boeckler in the closing stages to secure the victory, with ANS Motorsport completing the podium. In the JS2 R class, Simone Riccitelli kept LR Motorsport’s momentum rolling by claiming their fourth win of the campaign after a tense fight at the front. Class honours went to 360 Competition in Pro-Am and HP Racing by MRacing in Am.
Race 2 saw McCaughan and Robinson double up, guiding the no.1 Team Virage machine to a second straight triumph, this time ahead of teammates Hamda and Amna Al Qubaisi in the sister no.88 entry to secure a one-two finish. 360 Competition again prevailed in Pro-Am, while HP Racing by MRacing repeated their Am success. In JS2 R, Riccitelli was unstoppable once more, bringing the no.7 LR Motorsport Ligier home to his second victory of the day and fifth of the season, ahead of VSF Sports and 23Events Racing. Pegasus Racing topped the Pro-Am class, with VSF Sports taking Am honours.
With Team Virage sweeping the weekend in JS P4 and Riccitelli continuing his dominant run in JS2 R, the Silverstone Heat added another dramatic chapter to the 2025 Ligier European Series season.
